What Rent Finder does

Rent Finder Jamaica helps you search rental listings. We do not own properties, represent landlords or act as a rental agent. Prices, terms and availability come from the original listing source. Confirm these details directly before making a commitment.

Your free searches

You can run five free searches in this browser without an account. A browser cookie identifies your search allowance, which is stored on our server. Refreshing an existing results page does not count again. A fresh search counts even when it returns no matches. Clearing cookies or using another browser can change how we recognise you.

Accounts and Premium

Premium offers unlimited searches for US$9.99 for 2 weeks (14 days) or US$12.99 for 1 month. Both are one-time payments with no automatic renewal. Access expires at the end of the purchased period. Registration and login are required to upgrade. Checkout takes you to PayPal. PayPal processes payment details; we store payment identifiers and access expiry to manage your Premium membership.

Information we store

We store a browser identifier and search filters to manage free searches. If you register, we store your name, email and a password hash. Login attempts are temporarily recorded using a hash of the account email and IP address to help prevent repeated password guessing. Hosting providers may also retain normal access logs.

Visits and service analytics

We record visit times, pages viewed, search filters, result counts and whether an account was logged in or had Premium access. A first-party browser cookie helps recognise repeat visits. Referring website domains and campaign tags help us understand where visitors found Rent Finder. We estimate active time and departures using page activity signals. We do not store passwords or card details in these analytics records. Search engines may not share search keywords, and apps can hide referring information.

Contact enquiries

When you contact us, your name, email, topic and message are sent to our support inbox so we can reply. Do not include passwords, card details or identity documents. A hashed IP identifier and recent submission times are stored on the server to limit spam.

Listing sources

Each result names its source and, when available, links to the original listing. We use source links and listing details to reduce duplicate entries. Source information may change after a listing is added.

Before paying for a property

View the property, confirm who is authorised to rent it and verify the rental terms. A Rent Finder subscription is not a rental deposit and does not guarantee you will obtain a property.
